A useful addition to any cookware collection, this 11-inch deep saute pan by Cooks Standard features a flat base, tall straight sides, and a spacious interior that can hold up to 5 quarts at a time. The pan, which measures 21 by 11-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches, comes in handy for everything from day-to-day dinners with the family to trying out new recipes when gathering with friends on the weekends. It works especially well for one-pot meals--start by sauteing onions and garlic on the stovetop, add liquids and other ingredients, and finish by cooking to completion in the oven.

What is Multi-Ply Clad Metal Construction?

Multi-Ply Clad metal construction is a combination of 18/10 stainless steel with a multi-element aluminum core that creates a permanent bond of metal, so heat passes through the whole pan body from the bottom up the side walls, not just at the bottom, for maximum cooking performance.

The aluminum core extends from the bottom all the way up the side walls for total coverage. Stay-Cool Handles with Air-Flow Technology

Thoughtfully designed, the cookware's solid stainless-steel handles come riveted for strength and provide an open V-shaped design with air-flow technology that keeps the handle cooler and more comfortable to hold when cooking on the stovetop. It seems to do fine with cake batter and cookie dough (I wouldn't try mixing a double recipe, however), but it is totally worhless in kneading bread dough. The internal workings grind, the entire unit shakes, the freaking bowl pulls out of the plastic bottom - and this is with dough for a single, 1-pound loaf! I really don't know why they include a dough hook with the unit, because it's useless for that purpose. I guess I'll go back to my original plan of buying a Kitchenaid...
